I'm helping a friend sell his 1966 Triumph Bonneville T-120R. I've gone over this bike from top to bottom and my overall impression is that this is as close to a usable "survivor" as you're going to find. I tried to take as many pictures as possible to accurately represent the overall condition of the bike and leave no surprises. Click on the following link to see over 120 detailed photos of the bike: https://plus. google. com/photos/107997638067383550471/albums/6136553660419947425 Overall. this is an honest and solid bike. There is some pitting and surface rust on the chrome of the handlebars. wheels. emblems. and the tip of the left exhaust and other places. please see pictures for all pitting. There is a small crack on the left side battery box cover. Please keep in mind this is a bike that is almost 50 years old and even though it had a complete rebuild in the early 2000s you shouldn't get this bike expecting to instantly hop on and use it as a daily. In my personal opinion all that it would need is a fresh tank of gas. a carb adjustment/rebuild. some new tires. brake and overall safety inspection and it would be running like the day it left the factory. Even with these maintenance items. the bike still starts at the first or second kick. Please follow this link to a youtube video of the bike starting from cold:https://www. youtube. com/embed/2QUCJOest-kThe bike also comes with a pair of Triumph knee-guards which you can see in the picture link above. The owner of this bike provided a brief write-up in his own words:"1966 TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE. MATCHING FRAME AND ENGINE NUMBERS. OWNED AND RIDDEN IN 1970S IN PALO ALTO CALIF. . EFT UNRIDDEN IN 1980S. PURCHASED AND RESTORED IN EARLY 2000S. A TOTAL RESTORATION WAS DONE. INCLUDING A COMPLETE ENGINE OVERHAUL BY JOE TIMMONS A WELL RESPECTED NORTHERN CALIFORNIA TRIUMPH MECHANIC. MANY OF THE ORIGINAL PARTS WERE USED. WITH GOOD USED ORIGINAL. AND NOS PARTS WHEN NECESSARY. FENDERS ARE REPRODUCTIONS. THE GAS TANK IS PAINTED IN 1967 BONNEVILLE COLORS. THE BONNE HAS BEEN RIDDEN LESS THAN 150 MILES SINCE THE RESTORATION. AND HAS BEEN GARAGED AND REGULARLY STARTED IN RECENT YEARS. " I can tell. as I hope you do. that this is one of those rare opportunities we car & bike aficionados dream of. As time goes by these opportunities will grow more scarce. Don't end up being the guy that wished he had jumped on this when he had the chance. The owner and myself are of course available for any questions you might have. Shipping will ultimately be your responsibility. but we will do what we can to make scheduling bike pick up as trouble free as possible.
