Description

Exceptional Bonneville. 40 Mi. since complete overhaul. This motorcycle has been the sellers personal project for the two year duration of the rebuild andenhanced refurbishment.First this motorcycle was refurbished with the best parts available. Mostnew British proper95%. Efforts were to build a motorcycle that is the best assembly possible. All new hardware replacement is 95% OEMTriumph and their is a high standard of fastener quality throughout that means any corroded tool marked or improper hardware has been replaced. The exhaust pipes and mufflers are of high quality but not OEM Triumph as well as rear shocks. The two rear turn indicator lens arenew made in England but don's say Lucas I'm told by British Cycle Co.they are OEM Lucas. You name it and it has had attention and it is not all listed here just major.

Starting with the frame and components: (front & rear)New Dunlop tires new Central Wheel rims made in England with new heavy gageBuchanan spokes balanced and true new brake pads. New Triumph (Lucas)R/H handle bar control lever and switch assembly. Cables new. L/R rear view mirrors new. New Lucas indicator lens cluster. Lucas originalHeadlight no defects tail light Lucas original excellent. Rear sprocket and chain new. New exhaust pipes and mufflers (great deep clean sounding).Rear shocks new.Fuel tank interior sealed and side air box covers havenew Matrix poly paint with five coats Dupontgloss clear coating no blemish's or scratch'snew gas capO/H petcocks. Seat is original pan newly paintedwith new foam and recovered Triumph logo painted on back with proper data decals affixed on the bottom of the seat pan.Luggage rack. and passenger grab rail aft of seat.

Engine and transmissionare completely overhauled. Top end machine work accomplished in FL. Countryside Cycle @ GA machine shop. New valves guides new +.010" pistons rings. Crank heavy main bearings were with no wear in evaluation and are still mated with crank. Sludge tube cleaned of coarse.I did not reuse any "within tolerance" trust washers springs other bearingsEct. all new. This engine starts one kick two if been sitting for days/weeks. Motorcycle has been ridden four times local for Aprox.20 Mi. I have not performedre torque of headbolts yet as recommended after several heat and cool cycles as still a bit early but would due that for buyer if desired. Clutch has been completely overhauled. ThisTriumph transmission has complete overhaul gears were inspected with no defects(5 speed)L/Hshifts better than any I have ridden (I have three and ridden many others). CarburetorsAmal MKII are also overhaulednew cables with British RAMAIR cleanable foamair filters (see picture). I do have the complete original Triumph air box assembly comes with (about +5Lbs. many steel pieces) but the engine breaths better and has ready access without theold filter assembly conglomeration and are still weather shielded by the original side covers and the slight amount of air filter oil. As mentioned the complete original air box assembly comes with the motorcycle.

The ignition system is electronic with new Boyer box and Typentenium regulator (see picture). Also fitted withnewhigh energy output 14A 200Wstator and rotor. The old Triumph ignition amplifier has been aborted and was by all practical purposes unserviceable. The wiring on this motorcycle came to me unmolested and was a running bike engine inspection showed little normal wear. The electrical upgrades are of high quality workmanship better than original connections for absolute reliability.

As anyone who has undertaken a careful project as such knows the countless hours involved and the price paid for a no second best component purchase know that it's not about profit but the satisfaction of doing it right the first time. This motorcycle is ready to be a daily commuter or a collection bike. It would be rare to find a better bike of this model. A true fun to ride great handlingandreliable bike needs nothing.
