All Original Rare Factory Error Bike (see below)Condition-All original condition8311 original miles clean Ohio title never laid down or wrecked paint is in great shape no dents or scratches and shines up nice. Couple of tiny places where pin striping has flaked off. All original rubber including original front Dunlop Gold tire. Bike was just professionally serviced new points and condensors new battery. Comes with Boyer ignition and new coils if you would like to put them on. Bike runs great starts first kick cold every time and has lots of power. Original seat is perfect all lights and gauges work. Chrome is nice all around. Inside of gas tank is perfect zero rust. Brakes are good clutch is good shifts great. Includes original keys for both ignition and fork lock. Speedometer still has factory sticker (see pic)History-I have owned the bike for 20 years I am the second owner. I purchased the bike from the original owner who lives 10 miles from me who purchased the bike from the Triumph dealer down the road. I have a copy of the original title as well showing it was purchased from the dealer. I rode the bike for the first couple years I had it put 1900 miles on it and stopped riding because it needed a rear tire. Put the rear tire on and it has been sitting in my basement since then in cool dry storage for the past 18 years along side my other bikes. I wanted to take the thing out but never found any time alongside with lifestyle changes and health problems. I purchased a Boyer ignition and new coils over 12 years ago with intent of putting it on one day but I will leave it to the new owner. I have recently decided to sell the bike due to continuing health problems I have had the bike professionally serviced and checked out so the new owner has no worries. Rare Factory Error-The bike does have a very rare "Factory Error" much like that of an error coin that was stamped wrong. The Bike is an all original matching number bike. The VIN number on the motor which is BD40632TR6R matches the number on the title. The VIN number on the frame is BD40362TR6R. You have to look twice but the "6" and the "3" have been flipped (40632-40362). This is a FACTORY ERROR. Triumph hand stamped the frames and motors and this one slipped through their fingers. It is NOT a replacement frame and it has NOT been re-stamped. IF it was re-stamped the small Triumph proof stamping on frame and motor would not be visible because they are not stamped as deep as the VIN numbers. I have had experts look at the bike and they all agree that it is an all original numbers matching bike because of the original proof stampings and a copy of the original title showing that it was purchased from the dealer and I am the true second owner of the bike. Also if you think this is a frame from another bike the odds of finding another frame with same numbers would be impossible. It is clearly evident when you see the bike that nothing has been tampered with and it is all original. (please see last 2 pics for VIN numbers)Flaws-Bike needs front tire the original Dunlop has a lot of tread still but is cracked too much and is not safe for long distance or high speed. Brand new rear Pirelli tire I put on 18 years ago is now starting to crack a little on the sidewalls but I would say its ok to ride on. Side cover on left fell off while riding one time and scratched it up (see pics) Oil tank and muffler on right have some spots where the battery leaked out (also see pics) Rubber is all in really nice shape except for fork boots and the handle bar rubber mounts are a little loose. Besides that all the foot pegs and kicker rubber are almost perfect. Chrome on front wheel has a little surface rust in a couple spots but looks like it mostly could be cleaned up same with left side handle bar. Left tank Emblem white paint is starting to flake off. Bike does drip some tranny oil once in a while but comes and goes. (Please see pics for details of flaws)If you would like more information you can call me @ 330-220-6969 my name is Brett.
