1966 Triumph Thunderbird 6T

This Triumph 6T (Thunderbird) began its life as a London Metropolitan Police motorcycle. It was one of a fleet of 1966 6T's purchased by Scotland Yard from Triumph Motors to patrol the streets of metropolitan London. An American purchased this vehicle when it was put up for auction in London (exact date unknown). He shipped it to the US to restore it to a civilian version Triumph. I finished it's restoration to make it a civilian "British (not American) version" which is slightly different from the Triumphs delivered here by Triumph Motors for American civilian use. The photos show its current condition. It has very high compression and runs very well. It starts very easily and is a lot of fun to ride. As far as I know, here is nothing wrong with this vehicle. The only thing different is the location of the key to start the vehicle, hich is not currently on the nacelle (headlight).
