Triumph 100th Anniversary Limited Edition

2002 was the 100th anniversary of Triumph motorcycles (1902 was first year for Triumph) and for this special event Triumph planned to produce a limited number of centennial Bonneville T100s in a "Lucifer orange" and silver paint scheme. But on 15 March 2002, hile in the midst of preparing for its anniversary, ts main factory was destroyed by fire, crippling most of its manufacturing capacity. Only a handful of centennial edition T100s were produced in March 2002 before the fire, making them very rare. The remaining production run of centennial edition T100s were actually 2003 models that were built after the factory was repaired from the fire damage; these remaining T100s had to be 2003 year models as it was after September 2002 (into the 2003 model production year) before production started again. Even combining the 2002 and 2003 bikes produced, here were only a few of these first-year modern T100 bikes manufactured. Although exact numbers were not disclosed, he factory had promoted a limited run of 500 total units

I'm the original owner and this 2002 T-100 Bonneville is in excellent shape. Title in hand, nly selling because I just have too many bikes and I've decided to let this one go. I know I will regret it, ut it is time as I'm more into off-road riding with the kids now. No trades, ust looking to sell. Please if bidding be a serious buyer and be able to take great care of this bike and understand how special it is.
Bike is also for sale locally until there are bids on auction. Pics were taken right before auction listing posted. Don't miss this awesome Bonneville, ould guess there is not a nicer2002 T-100 Centennial/100th Anniversary bike out there unless it has never been ridden.

email summary received from another 2002 Triumph Bonneville T-100 Centennial/100th Anniversary Limited Edition owner concerning these bikes on 1-July 2015:
Dear howlan191,
I documented the fire incident at the time and have a letter sent to me
dated May 17,2002 signed by a Triumph executive stating " approximately 96
"made it to the USA . I had the letter mounted in a frame behind
ultraviolet glass for protection. I knew down the road there would be much
speculation as to how many exist even as you yourself don't know. I too
bought one of the approximately 96 and wanted current proof. Fire was in
March and letter is dated May! This info should increase interest in your bike sale.
