1996 Triumph Daytona 1200 original, NICE

Description

Beautiful 1996 Triumph Daytona 1200. 12,052 original miles.
Original motorcycle has not had any modifications to engine or suspension. Original paint still looks new.
I am the 3rd older owner, ll owners 50+ years old
Never wrecked or tipped over.
All original. Exceptions noted below.
These parts have been replaced with Triumph OEM (unless otherwise noted in parenthesis):

• Battery (Interstate)
• Tires (Shinko 009 Raven radials)
  
• Fork seals and fluid
• Ignition coils
• Spark plug wires
• Chain and sprockets
• Air filter
  
• Intake manifold boots
  
• Updated clutch and front brake master cylinders from later model Triumphs
• Coolant
• Thermostat
• Fuel lines
• Spark plugs (NGK)
• Oil pressure sending switch
• Oil and filter (Silkolene synthetic 15w50)
• Valve cover gasket and bolt grommets. (Valve adjustment performed at 11,900 miles)
• Fuel petcock rebuild
• Aircraft type stainless muffler clamps
• Added centerstand and grab handle (direct fit from Triumph Sprint)
  

The above were replaced not due to faults, ut for items that any machine of this age would need for dependability. I was an aircraft mechanic and like for my machines to be perfect!
Windshield is the original issue in beautiful condition, t still even has the cleaning sticker remaining on it!
Fuel tank is perfect inside and out, o rust inside or out, o dents, ings, tc.
Original grips still look great. All switchgear looks new and all electrics work.
Motorcycle starts on first push of button and settles to a nice idle. No smoking, o knocking.
Seat looks new, o tears or rips.
Transmission silky smooth with no issues. Clutch works perfect.
2 original Triumph keys, riginal owners manual and warranty book, riginal tool kit all present. I will also include an official Triumph workshop manual.
This Daytona is ready to ride. I have enjoyed it and have been invited to enter it into a Bike show on Oct. 24! I have purchased another Triumph and am thinning out my herd...
