CHOPPAHEAD is sellimg it newest thunder rat build. What makes this shiny bike a rat? For those of you who don't know Choppahead, e are one of the premier triumph chopper, obber and restoration builders in america. We've been at the game for 15+ years now. Our mission is to build clean custom bikes at different price ranges so that guys with smaller budgets may be able to afford our bikes. Through the years the prices of a full build have gone up to the point where not just anyone could buy a bike from us so we decided to start the thunder rat series. This means yes you are still getting a quality build from choppahead but we keep the cost down by using a good used motor and used components that are in great shape. The rest of the bike gets a full treatment from powder coa, iring and paint, o new carbs, lectronic ignition and things like that. Which is exactly what we have done on this bike. This bike started with a 1966 T120 frame . We transplanted a good 1971 TR6 motor that runs super strong. The wheels are used in perfect shape. The rear being inunbelievable condition, t's show bike quality. We used a ton of good used chrome along with some new stuff to give the bike a good old school chopper shine. The gas tank is a one of a kind choppahead paughco tank with a mid tunnel and a choppahead faucet style gas cap. The frame was fully fabbed in house and sent to powder coat. Not every chrome item on this bike is in perfect condition, here is definite areas where the chrome has patina but still in nice condition for this build. Once we got the frame back from powder coat the bike was assembled using new wheel bearings new neck bearings and all new grade 8 bolts. We wired the bike with all new wire, ew solid state voltage regulator, ew batter, ew key switc, ew boyer micro power electronic ignition, ew head ligh, ew tail light and switches. A new amal 930 was fitted with all new cables throttl, evers and 16" ape hangers the tins were painted in house with a medium metallic blue with shell blue flames. The oil tank was made by us and polished in house . We have over $9400 into the build and we are letting it go for below that.
