Triumph T100S 1968 Matching Numbers

 This bike had a restoration in 2006 and I have done a medium restoration this year. 2014. It has done just over 12. 00 miles since the 2006 work. which included a major overhaul and rebuild of the engine with new barrels and pistons. bearings etc. It is a matching numbers motorcycle. This year I have fitted the following new items:New wiring loom. including the ignition and tail light looms. All wiring has been done with the correct connectors. New Old Stock petrol tank and new petrol tap. New seat cover. New stainless steel mudguards. New gel battery. new battery tray and strap. New Amal Concentric carburettor. New air filter. New 20 tooth front sprocket (In place of 18T sprocket for better cruising). New final drive chain. New clutch plates. New exhaust downpipes. Boyer Bransden Electronic Ignition. New ignition coils. New spark plugs. Boyer Bransden electronic charging control (zener diode and rectifier not needed). New ammeter. Indicators (These can be removed. they are on brackets). Handlebar mirrors. New filters in oil tank and sump. Engine oil changed. Primary drive oil changed. Gearbox oil changed. Fork oil changed. New LED front parking light bulb. (Can be used as daytime running light as it is quite bright and white). New handlebar grips. Tyres are excellent front and rear. Now. it starts first kick. runs beautifully. handles well  and does about 60mpg. The brakes work well. including the original SLS front brake. which has been slightly modified to improve performance. I have all of the parts that have been removed (except the seat cover which was too nasty). so if anyone was mad enough to want to convert it back to original. they can. It passed its MOT on 12th June 2014 with no advisories. It has FREE road tax. nd if bought BEFORE the 1st October. you can take over the existing tax until end of June 2015. Otherwise. the new owner has to apply again. Silly. but that's the new rule. Still. at least it's free. You can just get on this bike and ride it. According to the 'How Many Left' website. there are five 1968 Triumph Tiger models left. Two are on SORN and three are on the road. This is one of the three.
