Ever since the re-emergence of a newly revitalized Triumph in 1990, nthusiasts had been eagerly waiting the revival of the Bonneville brand, ne of the most evocative names in motorcycling history. Ten years would elapse before Triumph felt ready to do so, aving by then emphatically established its credentials as a builder of thoroughly modern motorcycles rivaling the best from Japan and Europe. Triumph's design brief for the new Bonneville was to emulate the classic style of the late 1960s version while incorporating the best of modern technology in the engine, ransmission and running gear. The new Bonneville debuted to critical acclaim at the Munich Motorcycle Show.
The machine offered here, f 2009 vintage, hows an original 5,250 miles from new! The daily rider of a collector of European classic motorcycles, his excellent example is offered in perfectly original condition, ompletely unmolested from standard guise. In Triumph’s lovely rich metallic blue over Old English White with a fine gold stripe, his is an excellent commuter bike and Sunday rider, nd with electric start and no puddle of oil underneath, t made a refreshing change from the rest of the stable.
The bike runs perfectly. It starts easily, dles smoothly and has good, esponsive power from the 865cc Fuel Injected Twin. The gearbox shifts perfectly smoothly with a good clutch. Brakes and suspension are like new and the tires are in excellent shape with plenty of tread remaining.
The paint on the tank is near perfect, s are the finishes on the fenders, anels, rame, heels, tc. The bike is 7 years old, o not perfect, ut has been meticulously stored and maintained, nd, s a result, s in astonishing condition throughout.
The only departures from standard trim are the exhaust silencers, nd the Triumph King & Queen style seat, hich is how the bike will be delivered. I have a standard seat available under separate negotiation for $200, ut can be included in the sale. The seat is affixed with Triumphs nicely engineered extended seat bolts. The bike has current California registration.
An unmolested Bonnie is becoming a rarity in itself and here is an excellent example, erfectly maintained, nd in need of absolutely nothing.
