MUST BE SOLD THIS WEEK AS I'VE BOUGHT A HARLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1997 Triumph Adventurer for sale due to covering less than 50 miles in a year!
The bike has an MOT until Nov 9th 2014. I will put 12 months MOT on if necessary.
The many good points are; low mileage. major service carried out 50 miles ago. front tyre almost new. loads of wear in the rear. sola alarm immobiliser. new pattern chrome indicators fitted (not shown on the photos). spare key and spare alarm fob. I have the last five MOT's to substantiate the mileage. I had the engine and carbs re-built recently by Chris Foxley Triumph engineer and fully tuned. Receipts amount to over £1200. 00. The parts renewed include carb diaphragm. all washers. new gel battery. plugs. breather. all gaskets. complete airbox. oil. coolant. brake fluids. fan switch. fork oil seals. fork oil and brake caliper seals. All cylinders have been compression tested and are perfect. The chain has lots of life left in it. The fork stanchions have been re-chromed and the legs polished as seen on the pictures. The rims are aluminium and highly polished. The bike is ready to run and needs to be sold as sadly I dont have space for two. Currently the bike is SORN. There are a few cosmetics needed to finish a full restoration. The engine covers could do with re-chroming. the clocks and radiator covers need returning to chrome as they have been sprayed matt black. There's also the odd scratch or two commensurate with a bike of this age. I would also add a new pair of chrome mirrors if I was keeping it. This is a nice project for someone to complete as this is a rare bike increasingly going up in value. The bike needs to be sold and is priced to do so. If you look on Ebay and Bike Trader similar bikes are going for £5000. I am 5'9" and put both feet firmly flat on the ground so the bike suits the vertically challenged. If you want to know what the bikes are like look at the review on the MCN web site. It pulls like a steam train! All questions answered. Viewing available after 5 Mon- Fri or anytime at weekends. The indicators have now been changed for patent chrome Triumph type.
The bike will need taxing but other than that it is ready to ride away!
LASTLY - I HAVE 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK FOR A REASON AND I'D LIKE TO KEEP IT THAT WAY.
