1966 Norton Triton Motorcycle
You are bidding on a Custom built Triton Motorcycle. This Triton has been under construction for theseveral years. I constructed this bike knowing that most riders after 1974 don’t even remember that many motorcycles shifted on the right and brake on the left. Harley included. Our government decided that all bikes will shift on the left and brake on the right to end confusion and get one side of the brain to stop rather than both sides. Probably a good idea. Here is your chance to have a one off classic without the headache of trying to remember to shift on the right. If you have been riding modern bikes, his is for you. Frame 1966 Norton Slimline Featherbed bed frame. Bike comes complete with original Norton engine cases. Clear Tennessee Title. Frame is painted Kaki metallic base coat/clear coat Engine Triumph Bonneville 750 CC engine. Engine Numbers NN6403X. This makes this a 1976 Bonneville Engine. The engine came from a low mileage motorcycle that sat too long. The pistons were stuck at the bottom of the stroke. After some soaking and a gentle rap, he pistons were freed from the bore. I was going to bore it .010 over but found a new old stock cylinder assembly. The engine remains at stock bore with new pistons and rings. Cylinder head looked perfect but was sent out for a valve grind to make sure. Connecting rods had no slop and knowing it was low mileage, he engine was not split open. Cases were polished by the Chrome Shop with new badging. Exhaust is big bore MDI with upswept mufflers. Oil filter incorporated into oil return line to tank. This should prevent any additional sludge trap buildup that plagues most Triumphs and require major break down to correct. Standard off the shelf spin on oil filter canister.Frame

Headlamp is mounted to the forks using Norton Colorado billet mounting ears.
Rear view mirrors are installed using the original Suzuki mounts. I might have opted for end bar mirrors but could not let myself cut into those Tomacelli grips.

Overall
This is a very well executed Motorcycle. No short cuts were taken in the construction. Parts are either new or excellent condition originals.
The Featherbed frame is world famous for rigidity and handling.
All Cables are new except the Suzuki brake cables, hich were in excellent condition.
This motorcycle is a new build and has little miles. The ignition timing has not been strobed but is set up per Branson and Triumph Factory instructions.
Runs very well but could use a little fine tuning on the carbs for optimal operation
It’s rolling art and would look good in the garage, en or displayed at a business.
Some of the photos were taken with the Amals and Mikunis. Bike currently has the Mikunis installed. The mirrors are shown are currently on the bike.
Mileage
Mileage is based on a Speedometer that I purchased on Ebay at 9429. Actual mileage is unknown.
