Description

It pains me to sell this fantastic motorcycle but I'm downsizing. Rare Find in this condition, ith only 5,378 miles. Dressed in the desirable pacific blue and silver original tank paint, ou can still see the ghosting from the faded "world speed record holder" water slide decal. The hand pin striping, atina to the gold, lack and chrome emblems, nd the paint itself is amazing for the year, t get compliments wherever I take it. There is some very light checking that you would expect for original lacquer but the patina is fantastic. I took closeups of two small chips, he tank does not have any dents and the 2 small chips could be touched up. The 1965 model is also the last year of the reverse tachometer. Previous owner purchased this Triumph in 1970 and it had been stored for many years. The side covers have been repainted and new water slide decals are installed, new rubber all around, ew exhaust and silencers, riginal Dunlop wheels, nd the original ignition key is included. The motor was rebuilt over the winter and it runs excellent with great compression, tarts first kick when primed.
The bike runs and drives for a quick run to the coffee shop or a buzz around the lake but there are still a few small things that need to be sorted out for this bike to be perfect. For example the bulbs are 12v, he previous owner wanted to convert the bike to 12V with electronic ignition. I installed new points and condenser, djusted the timing, t idles great and rips like a triumph should so for me no reason to mess with a good thing! The bulbs are 12V and need to be changed back to 6V to work so hand signals only for now :) The rear brake switch is included but not installed chainguard. The fuel tank is original and I cleaned it and rinsed it 3X but left it unsealed. I have mixed feelings about sealed fuel tanks so I will leave that up to the buyer because once its sealed, here's no turning back. I was also planning to replace the fuel lines and updating the petcocks with the correct clear lines vs. the black rubber ones shown. Although the seat cover looks to be original vintage, don't think its original. there is some debate about if a black seat cover was offered in 1965 on the T120 bonneville, ts likely that it should have been the gray cover so its possible this one was replaced somewhere along the way. I'm sure there are a few other things I'm forgetting but I tried to take multiple detailed photos for the listing.
This is a fantastic bike for a buyer that's into original restorations and it would be a great addition to any collection or for cruising around town. These bikes are only going up in value. There are a lot of completely restored bikes but very few left with original tank and emblem paint. Sale Includes: New in box 12V podtronix regulator and Boyer electronic ignition (not installed) Sold, s is where is. I can make this bike available for showing with 24 hours notice. If you have zero feedback, lease contact me before bidding.
