Description

Up for your consideration 1996 Triumph Thunderbird. Part flat tracker part Caf? racer.
Low mile bike that needs nothing. Starts right up shifts through all the gears and hits the entire rpm range very smooth, o hesitation and stops on a dime. Bike has been adult owns all its life, ell taken care of and never been dropped. I am a big fan of the Triumph triple and have owned many of these and as with any of my bikes they are 100% ready to ride. My recent additions are new tires, rogressive springs, ork seals and fork oil that give this bike the smooth ride you would expect out of such a fine machine. I replaced the exhaust with a set of pipes that are fitting to a retro road racer and rebuilt and rejeted the carbs to match. The combination of these two upgrades gives this bike a throaty sound that is so pleasant to the ear and a powerful acceleration when you grab a fist full of throttle.
I added a fly screen and a bump seat to give it that caf? look. Then I installed a mesh screen over the headlight which really set it apart from the traditional Thruxton look. The pro taper bars are set at the right angle to control this big powerful machine and are extremely comfortable to ride. Some other additions are a new battery, hrottle cable, long with fully synthetic oil change and filter, hopped the rear fender, dded a custom taillight, ew rear sprocket, eadlight ears, ED turnsignals and new air filter.
The paint is really a one off done by Killer Kuztoms in Texas the flat Kaki and military green is not something you see often and turns heads everywhere you go. This will make a great daily rider that is reliable and gives you the right amount of flair to set it apart from every Thunderbird on the road.
Typically you will see these Triple Thunderbirds sell for $3500 if you consider the upgrades that are done here. You would not be able to complete the build for my low reserve. I have spent$300 on the progressive springs seals and fork oil upgrade,$1000 on the paint, 350 on the tires, 125 on the oil and air filer upgrade, 100 battery, 400 for the fly screen handlebars and headlight ears,$350 on the bump seat, few bucks more on the LED Turn signals rear tail light and mesh screen for the head light. You can also ad in about 15 hours of labor @ $75/hr.
You have an opportunity to get a great bike for a great price. Come down and see it, ouch hear it. Ask any questionsSend me a message I am willing to discuss anything.
