Triumph Legend 2000 Very Low Mileage No Reserve

Relisted item. If you saw this before you'll know the rear shock absorber failed during the auction this has now been replaced. I bought this bike (should say rescued) in May 2013 from a friend who?��d bought it new. It had failed it?��s MOT in 2007 because of a worn tyre and binding brake and as he?��d got other bikes he parked it in his garden under a tree and left it for six years!!

Because its been stood for such a long time cosmetically it?��s not in mint condition with minor pitting on the chrome and some of the black casing paint has lifted due to some annodisation but this is not extensive. Other than that the paintwork is fine. I?��d describe it?��s condition as good (it is 14 years old!) It?��s mechanically sound with plenty of low down grunt and a great riding position and if you?��re short in the leg like I am at 5ft 6ins it?��s the bike for you!

Negatives:

Several marks on front mudguard - one bad one where the paint has been rubbed off by the speedo cable. (I got it off Ebay to replace the original. )

Dimple in tank where it's been knocked by something

Some lacquer peeled off front forks (Was going to have them powder coated)

 Minor pitting on chrome side panels. bars and wheels.

 Runs a bit weak on tickover but fine when you open the throttle suspect dirt in pilot jets but not irritated me enough to sort it.

 Positives:

 Very low mileage at under 11k

 New hand built radiator (By Cumbria Radiators) in copper and brass. Original accidentally damaged by myself cost me nearly 300 quid!!

 New Tyres.

 New Battery

 New Chain

 Brakes completely overhauled with new pads pistons and seals.

 K & N air filter.

 New carb mounting rubbers and Jets

 Rear Luggage Rack
