Triumph T120 Bonneville 1968

1968 Triumph T120 Bonneville I have owned my lovely Bonneville for three years but am selling it as I just don't use it. due to having other bikes. I'm told that this year is the best year they made the T120 Bonneville and of course the year they introduced the twin leading front brake. Remember. this is the English T120 model not the T120R American specification model. The bike was apparently restored a number of years ago and as you can see from the pictures it is no longer a show bike.  I make no apology but this bike has been used and as a result has a few marks to show it.  It does not have its original engine but the engine is a period 68 Bonnie engine. Since I have owned it I have;Fitted a new 'Armour' exhaust systemReplaced the Boyer ignition 'ignitor box' Replaced the speedometer and rev counter cablesFitted a new batteryFitted a new rear tyreJust recently I noticed that after a 20 minute or so ride. the bike started smoking. which I wasn't happy with. As a result I commissioned 'Cotterell Engineering' of Clay Cross to refurbish the top end. They re-bored the barrels. skimmed the alloy head and block. fitted new valves and guides and sourced new +0. 040" pistons. The engine again runs sweet as a nut. is now smoke free and will be solid for many years to come. It will need 'nursing' for a few miles to bed things in. All the above parts/work is fully receipted and the engine work is warranted by Cotterell's. The auction will run to the end and I ask any serious bidder to come and see the bike before bidding. I have put a reasonable reserve on the bike and have a 'buy it now' option. Cash on collection preferred although I will accept Paypal - no cheques or dodgy deals please.
