1991 TRIUMPH TROPHY MAUVE/PURPLE - RARE BIKE

This is a rare bike and is somewhat unique. It was produced in 1991 which was the first year of production at the new Hinkley Triumph works. It is the second oldest Hinkley Trophy 900 currently known to Triumph. It was exported to America and was re-imported into the UK in 2006. It stood for four years and then was entirely rebuilt into the bike you see now. It seems to have been a really thorough job.  The bike shows 17. 27 miles on the clock and this is believed to be genuine but is not guaranteed. During the re-build the front section of the fairing was removed and a conversion kit fitted to turn it into a sort of street-fighter style. I think it looks very cool. Everything works and it starts readily (full choke and closed throttle). There is no smoke from the engine and it doesn't drip oil. The engine is smooth and doesn't rattle. You can hear the cam chain whine but they are all like that. It is very powerful and fast and the triple engine sounds wonderful through the almost new silencers. The gearchange is slick and positive. The wheels have been painted to match the bike's plastic parts and they have polished rims. Recent MOT in June which it passed without any advisories. I have re-sprayed the engine covers and replaced most bolts with gold coloured Allen screws

It has been pampered while in my possession and I keep the bike under a cover in my garage so it never gets wet. I never ride in the wet or at night but I really enjoy a blast when its sunny and warm. Reason for selling? - I'm 73 and I feel I need four wheels between me and the road.
