Description

1997 TRIUMPH DAYTONA TRIPLE This is the original Triumph super bike. 955cc fuel injected triple cylinder engine. designed by Triumph to compete with the Ducati 916 and the Fireblade. I have owned the bike for three months in which time I have sorted what was an irritating low idle/ stall problem. installed a hi-level carbon Akrapovic carbon exhaust and carbon hanger (complete with removable baffle) and link pipe and a smoked Airblade double bubble screen.  The bike is a treat to ride and if I had the space I would keep it however. too many projects on the go so sadly this bike has to move on to make room. The bike is in very clean condition. I bought the bike from an elderly gentleman who didn't get the chance to ride as often as he would have liked. The last MOT was carried out in April since when the bike has covered a handful of miles. The last photo shows the only significant fairing damage (a crack just above the belly pan on the RHS). This was caused when the previous owner had a fall whilst stationary and got his leg caught under the bike. The crack has been reinforced to prevent further growth and could be covered with a well placed sticker.  There arent many of these iconic classic bikes in such good clean condition and with such low mileage and there isnt another with this colour scheme- this is a unique bike and I will be sorry to see it go. It is clearly a classic of the future but comes with the arm tugging performance of a modern fuel injected bike. The bike comes with the original exhaust and pillion footrests if you want to reinstall these. There is a fair amount of history with the bike which includes previous MOT records and the service book. The bike speedo currently shows just over 12. 00 miles however the records show that the speedo was replaced for a new unit sometime around 2005 and the total mileage is 22. 00 when the service/ MOT record is taken into account. Even so this is still less than 1250 miles per year and the bike is very fresh. This really is a great amount of bike for the money and in the right hands will still embarrass a modern bike costing 10 times as much
