Description

This is a nice example of a 1970 Daytona T100R matching numbers bike with less than 100 miles on a top end rebuild.  Top end overhaul included the following:+ New Black Diamond intake and exhaust valves+ New valve guides+ New UK made valve springs+ New pushrods+ New rocker adjusting pins+ Cylinder honed+ New piston rings installed and properly seatedOther items which were added:+ New AMAL 622 carburetors (proper for this T100R model)+ New throttle cables+ New air filters (reusable gauze type)+ New fuel petcocks and fuel elbows+ New battery+ New UK-made breather hose+ New handlebars+ New grips+ New fork boots (gaiters)+ New oil pressure and neutral indicator lights+ New oil pressure switch+ New points+ New gear indicator plate+ New left and right exhaust pipes (up to muffler) along with new finned clips and crossover+ NOS key for steering lock+ Most all engine gaskets replaced including manifold and carburetor gaskets+ New rubber isolators for gas tank mountsI am sure there are some other things I am missing but basically this bikes has been gone through from front to back.  Engine starts right up and runs strong.  I chose to go with a slightly richer carburetor slide and needle jet to keep the engine running cool and to eliminate bluing on the exhaust pipes.  I prefer it to run a tad rich since most of my driving is slow speed driving in my neighborhood.  If desired. I can include the original slides and needle jets should you desire a leaner running machine.  All lights and horn work properly.  The tank and front fender have been repainted (nicely done) at some point in the past.  The rear fender still wears its original paint.  Rear tire is in very nice shape.  Front tire is just starting to get a bit of checking on the sidewall and could probably stand to be replaced at some point.  Drive chain and front and rear brakes have been properly adjusted.  Machine had its break-in oil changed 40 miles after the top end was done.  The oil that is in the bike now has approximately 60 miles on it.  Has the original toolkit located inside the side cover.  I also have the owner's handbook.
