Description

A complete and original scooter in good overall condition with A complete and original scooter in good overall condition with V5 and some spares. A great example of an unusual scooter which should be a straightforward restoration. and some spares.

I bought this scooter back in 1985 from a school friend and managed to source all the missing parts from old Triumph dealers. Once these were fitted I had the scooter running but never got around to an MOT as by then I had a larger Vespa to ride. Since then it has moved house several times with my other scooters and always been garaged. I don?ˆ™t think I will ever find the time to ?ˆ?restore?ˆ™ it and would far rather it went to someone who wants to get it back on the road. From memory it was quite a nippy scooter with its automatic transmission but with poor front suspension it was not the most comfortable of rides.

The scooter is complete (minus one rubber floor mat) and solid with a little surface rust but after a good clean and T-cut of the paint I think the original paint would look fine. The engine still turns well and nothing seems seized due to its long storage.

The only faults I know of are that the chrome headset is rust pitted so needs a re chrome or spray. and it will need a new 6v coil. I tried to start it last year and the coil crumbled to bits. however any coil should fit simply enough. It will also need new tyres as it still has 45 year old Avon tyres fitted! There was never any rear brake light fitted as standard so you will need to check if one needs to be installed for an Mot.

It comes with a few spares and an original parts catalogue which has really useful diagrams. I also have a leaflet regarding the centrifugal clutch which explains how this works as if anything gives you problems it will be this.

Whilst working on it I disconnected the safety switch under the seat along with eh clutch contact breaker (added after many people on the Tina had the scooter ride off on its own before sitting down) as it made getting the engine running easier. I kept all the parts and these can easily be refitted (the parts manual shows exactly where they go).

This is a good solid and complete example of a T10 and should make a straightforward restoration. I have a few more photos I can email on request and any viewing is welcome ?ˆ“ I am near Devizes. Wiltshire. Any questions please ask.

UK bidders only please unless you contact me first. Buyer to collect scooter.

The winning bidder should pay £200 by PayPal after the sale has finished and the balance on collection.

I also have original NOS inside leg shield spare wheel holder with wheel rims and a used rear rack that I am listing separately.
