1966 Triumph Tiger 90 350 / 500

For sale my 1966 Triumph Tiger 90 ish. The story with the bike is my dad bought the bike back in November 1979  ( 34 Years ago) as a genuine Triumph tiger 90 but we have since found out the bike is a 1966 Triumph 3ta that has been converted to look like a Tiger 90. The bike has the correct coils under the fuel tank and tiger 90 18" wheels. and tiger 90 badges. The engine is stamped 3ta on the side but has been fitted with tiger 90 high comp pistons bigger valve head and higher lift cams.   I have rode a standard 3ta and this bike is a lot faster and feels more powerful than a standard 3ta. History of the bike my dad bought the bike back in 1979 and rode the bike home then put it in the garage where it then sat for the next 25 years. 9 years ago we got the bike back out of the garage and fitted a new wiring loom but only connected up the engine wiring all the lights still need to be connected back up and do not work. The bike then went back into the garage for another 8 years until i  inherited the bike early on this year. I have the last MOT certificate from 1980 and a new red V5c in my name. Over the last few months i have been cleaning up the bike and have fitted a new number plate. new battery and changed the oil. The bike now starts and runs well and sounds excellent. But will need fully checking over and work doing to the bike as it really has been stood the best part of 34 years. I have had the bike out on a private road and got the bike up to 40mph all the gears and clutch work ok and the brakes are ok ish. Reason for sale we are expecting our second child in the next 2 weeks and it seems a shame just to put the bike back in the garage for more years to come.
