1978 Triumph T140E Bonneville

Beautiful bike that I've been restoring for two years now to look more like a 60's era Bonneville. Custom paint job done by World Class Hot Rods (Don and Arlen Blenkush) in the Rogue Valley. OR. This bike looks like the older Bonnevilles but has the modern amenities of disk breaks. shifting on the left. and CDI ignition. Not sure what is going on with the bike right now.   I rebuilt the top end and had it running great but then I suspect the oil pump went bad and burned at least one valve.   May need new pistons and rings again.   Could need an entire engine rebuild.   I don't know.   The bike starts. but won't stay running (this could be the the battery) and smokes really bad. I'm frustrated with the engine now and am selling as we need the cash more than I need the frustration. to After the rebuild I rode it to my vintage bike club meeting and it was fantastic. It might be a simple fix for someone who has fresh eyes and patience for it. New tires. new seat with gel insert. new handlebars. rebuilt carburetors. new air cleaners. new retro side panels and all related modifications for these to fit; new primary chain. new drive chain. new front and rear sprockets. new back brake line. new fuel valves. new petcocks (fuel taps. or fuel valves). new gas cap. new knee pads. new stainless steel brake pucks and O-rings. new brake pads. new brake disc. new plug wires. new speedometer drive and cable. new rear turn signals. and new mirrors. New parts not installed but come with the bike are: stainless steel front brake line. brake pads and fork seals. Grab rail. chain guard. under struts. front brake caliper cover. and tail light bracket newly powder coated glass black. Odometer reads 16. 00.   The speedometer cable was broken when I bought the bike.   Actual mileage is unknown. We have many. many pictures of this bike.   MORE PICTURES AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
