2012 Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200. 9k miles, Cat C repaired. Possible PX classic.

2012 Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 (launch model). 8k miles. Cat C damaged. repaired. I bought this bike over a year ago from the insurance company after it was written off as "uneconomical to repair". I thought I could rebuild it cheaply. but there were few second-hand parts available. so I have largely rebuilt it with new Triumph parts. The main parts needed were the forks and sub-frame for the clocks/headlight. Unfortunately. a lot of minor plastic parts were damaged too. and they put the cost way higher than expected. Having had the bike for so long. I have bought another bike already. so have decided to sell this one instead.

It has recently come back from Triumph. having had nearly ??3k worth of new parts fitted under warranty. This includes a new cylinder head. ECU unit. centre stand and full exhaust system. The bike starts easily (new battery). and runs. handles and stops very well. There are no issues with the bike. and with the warranty work done is ready tour. commute or go around the world. It will have it's10K miles service done next week. and a new front tyre fitted.

I have the V5C in my name as the second owner. plus the owner's book. service book. toolkit and two sets of keys. The bike starts easily and runs well. and has only done 9225 miles. There are no box or panniers. before anyone asks. but I have just fitted side rails to keep my throw-over panniers off the exhaust and out of the back wheel. and put six month's road tax on it. I have just done three hundred miles on it in the last four days. and it is a pleasure to ride.

This is a cheap. nearly-new bike. with some minor cosmetic issues still. mainly a small dent in the tank. a little bit missing out of the edge of one tank panel (waiting for a used one to become available). scratches and scuffs. I might consider a swap for a classic British bike. preferably a big twin (no silly prices please). other than that no deals or trades. thank you. No offers either. as it has cost me more than I am asking for it. and it is already the cheapest Tiger Explorer on eBay. plus it has had the warranty work done.

Usual eBay stuff applies. Cash on collection (notes will be checked. so direct bank transfer is preferred) or cleared funds before release. No test rides without proof of your licence and insurance. and a very large cash deposit. for obvious reasons. Thanks for looking.
