We have a very nicely restored 1968 Triumph 650 Bonneville. This bike is freshly done and is matching numbers. Finished in a deep red metallic. appropriate for it?ˆ™s year. it is just gorgeous. Both the engine and frame carry the VIN# T120R DU67789. This motorcycle has a beautiful finish from top to bottom. Everything has been plated. polished. or painted. The only flaw is a very small dent on the jet black oil tank. the paint is not broken. The current owner is a collector and did not ride it. With a new battery and basic service it should be ready to ride again. Most everyone has memories of British bikes. Mine made me swear them off for 20 years. but now I do collect them and other European marques due to their lower production numbers and in recognition to the many contributions they made to making boys into men. Anyone can crank their Japanese bikes electric starter and go ride. It takes a dedicated man with basic knowledge in the black arts to start a Brit bike after a winter of sitting. Failure to tickle the carbs properly. or kicking through on the wrong stroke may erode your ego and put pain into your lower leg. If you do it properly and fire that thumper up. you can proudly ride off and impress all those who see you astride unarguably a classic machine. Even if fear or lack of electric start keeps you from riding. one could just display this bike for it?ˆ™s historical representation. This is what the British motorcycle industry produced before the Japanese hoards made motorcycle ownership and riding. easy for men. women. and children.
