Here for sale is a true "Survivor" motorcycle. It is a 1965 Triumph T100SR Tiger 500cc. This is a matching numbers bike. nbsp; the engine showing T100SR H36345 and the frame showing the same. It has a cool local history. It has been owned since new by a local couple for the last forty-nine years. It was purchased here in Santa Barbara. CA. and has spent its whole life here. And the selling Triumph dealer. nbsp; Honda Al Baltes. nbsp; is still selling motorcycles here to this day. The mother carried their kids three-up to elementary school. One year after purchase. nbsp; the tank badges were removed to give the bike a custom look. They were recently reinstalled and are in excellent condition with no pitting. It has original gold and white paint and patina. The engine has never been apart. It starts and runs and shifts great. It has aftermarket valve adjustment covers. There is an original tool kit. nbsp; original owners handbook. nbsp; all original registration stickers. nbsp; original seat strap hardware. nbsp; and a Clymer manual. The seat has been recovered in a dark gray color. There is also a picture of the bike from the sixties with the tank badges removed. The bike's speedometer shows 11000 miles and the owner estimates that another 600 miles were added after a speedo cable was broken. Very low mileage. The tires and tubes will need to be replaced. nbsp; and the rear is currently not holding air. The front is a 19 inch and the rear is 18 inch. Both rims have chrome flaking off and the rear has a rim clincher. The original tail light lens is held on with tape. The left side muffler has been welded together after cracking.
The fuel tank and front fender have no dents whatsoever and the tank is extremely clean and rust-free. The rear fender is slightly distorted at the trailing edge. The left side panel has been chromed. It has the original Amal 376 carb. A Smiths chronometric Rev-counter has been added by the owner but has never been connected by cable to the engine. It has the period California license plate. The only thing modern on the bike is the barend mirror needed for legal use.
The bike is available locally for inspection by appointment. Possible delivery to parts of California and Nevada for a fee can be discussed. I can replace tires/tubes or perform other work that a buyer might wish to do. I can prepare for shipment and have a commercial address for pickup.
