This auction is for a 1963 Triumph 200cc Tiger Cub. It was considered the "Hot Roadster" model as it has the higher compression piston. "R" racing camshaft. CR or ECR (close ratio or extra close ratio) gears. bigger inlet valve. sports valve springs. and large bore Amal Monobloc carb. Current N. A. D. A. Antique Motorcycle Appraisal Guide shows the T20SR in this condition as about $3. 00. The Triumph 200cc Cub models are icreasing in value at a higher rate than the 60's era 650cc models such as the Bonneville and Trophy/Tiger models. No broken or bent engine fins. really rare not to have damaged fins on these old Cubs. No wrenches ever used on engine or frame as shown in pictures. Tank badges are great and not damaged. These four pieces of the badge set alone sell for about $200 on ebay. Tank is dent free and fairly clean inside. Exhaust is solid. Chrome under black painted muffler may be good. I remember the seller in 1972 telling me he painted exhaust pipe/muffler with heat paint to protect it but removed it from exhaust pipe after applying as paint started smoking from exhaust heat. LOL. Everything on bike is original except headlight and fork ears. It also has no speedometer since that was an option that year. Mileage is an estimate but is probably close as I bought bike from first owner (whom I knew) in 1972 and he drove in woods on his property. Mileage is probably less than 1. 00 miles. That is where headlight and fork ears damaged. The bike has sat in heated shop for past 42 years. I've sold about 60 bikes over past 8 years and always receive 100% feedback. This SR model was considered the "sport" model as well as it's sister the T20SC. Both models were made for only 3 years. Bike has good compression but is not running. It will run with fuel and battery. Only 74 of the "Hot Roadster" T20SR's were made. This is one of the few remaining. The bike was Triumphs Cub racer. As an investment it will go up about 10% per year in value. I appraise bikes and restore all model Triumphs from 1960's. I will assist buyer with technical assistance as well as any parts. at my dealer prices. that may be required to put in exact original condition. No title. A bill of sale will be issued. I also build high performance Triumph 650 engines. I put 10. 5:1 pistons. Mega-cycle 510-65 cams. Kibble-White racing valves and springs. and I rebalance crank. after cleaning sludge trap. for the higher weight pistons. I balance at 83% balancing factor. Please let me know if you require a 650 engine rebuild. Why have it rebuilt stock when an extra 20% in cost. or so. will get you an extra 6-8 horsepower. An $800. 00 PayPal payment must be made immediately after sale. Balance by bank check o0r money order expected within 7 days from auction end. Bike cannot leave my possesion until bank check or money order clears institution. IMPORTANT: I will hold bike for up to 6 months or 180 days from auction end so that buyer can pick up next spring or make arrangements to have transport service pick up. All delivery arrangements must be made by buyer. I will crate for $120. 00. I will deliver up to 200 miles for 75 cents per mile. Please email any questions prior to bidding. If you have less than 30 eBay transactions or have a feedback less than 94% please contact me prior to bidding or I will cancel bid and block bidder. sorry. If you are a foreign motocyclist interested please contact me so I can exempt you from excluded country bidders list. All information listed about the Cub is from Mike Estall's "Triumph Tiger Cub Bible". Mike has been a valuable asset for Cub owners. There are alot of Tiger Cub clubs around country. They also place very well in 200cc and smaller races and "long runs" such as the yearly 200cc and lower motorcycle run around Lake Erie.
