Description 2014 Ural Gear Up 2WD Coalition Gray Custom

Premium 2WD model.  Powder Coated Semi-Gloss Coalition Gray body with a black powder coated frame and black powder coated drive train.  This story of this limited production color goes back almost twenty years.  

Sometime before 2003 under United Nation's "OIL FOR FOOD" program. the Ural Factory manufactured five-hundred 2WD motorcycles that were inspired by purpose and functionality. just like the modern day Gear Up Model. These rugged. durable bikes were shipped to Iraq and were intended on being used by Postal Services and the Ministry of Agriculture. Due to the start of the war. however. they were never put to use. During the war they were captured in brand new condition by Coalition Forces and were re-purposed for the needs of the American forces. These bikes had a special. designated gray finish that distinguished them from other Ural Models at that time.

Inspired by this theme. we asked that the factory reproduced this historical gray color using modernized durable powder coating. For aesthetics and better paint durability. we chose a secondary. nbsp;flat black tone on the bike frame and various details that was powder coated on.  You can see historic photos of the captured bikes in Iraq at the end of our photo presentation.  

The 2014 Ural Gear Up is the most equipped stock Ural model. It comes with a large list of Gear-Up specific features:

Powder coated sidecar bumper. Spotlight on the front of the sidecar. Power distribution panel inside the sidecar with fuse panel. 12V power outlet. nbsp;and powered water proof switch for the spotlight. Rubber gas tank knee pads with an integrated tool box on top of the tank. Shin guards. Spare wheel assembly. Luggage rack over the spare wheel. Water resistant tonneau cover.   Fluid canister. Shovel. Comprehensive tool kit. Paint touch up for body color and frame. Rear fender luggage rack.

This 2014 Ural Gear Up also has a black powder coated drivetrain including engine. transmission. final drive. and even the backing plate for the side car brake mechanism. This optional drivetrain powder coating is the only reliable protection of otherwise exposed aluminum parts of stock bikes from moisture. snow. salt and mud.  

In addition to the powder coated drivetrain. this particular Gear Up received a factory-installed. rubberized. weather-proof coating. This durable coating is applied to the under-side of the sidecar body. and the underside of both the front and rear fender.

This bike has a partial rear seating package which includes rear handlebars and rear foot pegs. A full rear seat or a fender rack cushion can easily be installed for additional seating.
