Classic Piaggio Vespa pk50n scooter with Polini exhaust

For sale is my '89 Vespa pk50n.  Changes to the Italian Highway Code meant that 50 cc vehicles were no longer bound by the 1. 5 bhp limit. and IN 1989 Piaggio presented a new small Vespa with improved performance (over 2 bhp at 5. 00 rpm). and new. smoother styling.  I came about this little bike 9 years ago when a friend of the family returned to Italy. having brought the bike over here previously with the intentions of registering it. I have kept it running with the same intentions but have never got round to it. Since owning it I have run it up periodically and done a few little jobs here and there (clean and re-furbed carb most recently. new indicator lenses. new rear tyre and tube. replaced clutch lever and tidied it up with a new white beading around the fairing although this was done some time ago! I have also made a new alu battery tray for it. ) It starts first time on the kick. and is good for 36mph with a tuck! The brakes are very good and need no adjustment and the three speed manual is also in good order. All this bike needs to get it through the MOT is a new battery and a new headlight. Theres some surface rust under a few scratches here and there but this is very light and could easily be remedied with flatting back and some paint. The frame is also in good order with no rust. Mileage is only 18. 00Km. When I received the scooter i sent a frame rubbing to the Vespa Club of Britain with the chassis number. They confirmed to me it definitely was a pk50n and not a pk50. Once the MOT is gained registration is simple. I will try and dig out the papers for this process. Feel free to ask me any questions. cheers.
