This is my Vespa P200e - She has been with me since May '13 and has been a faithful companion and work horse!
When I first brought the scoot it was fitted with a Polini 207 kit and had a number of mechanical faults - the most prominent of which was a significant Air Leak that made cold starts almost impossible. The engine was fully rebuilt by local vespa guru Steve Walnut and has run sweet ever since. The 207 kit was replaced with a stock p200e barrel. head and piston (New Piston + Rings) as the scooter was to be my main transport around town and therefore reliability is king.
Where possible I have used stock OEM parts - 90% of parts used have been purchased directly from AllStyles Scooters in portsmouth. Modification/Replacments Made:
PM Tuning Exhaust Fitted (Second Hand pipe - new end can)
High Intensity 35 Halogen Head Light (Unlike the original you can actually see where you are going at night!)
New Stator (Genuine Piaggio)
New Rear Hub (Genuine Piaggio)
New Carburetor (Genuine Piaggio)
New Brake Shoes (Front and Rear - Fitted 04/14)
All Cables Replaced 04/14
New Wheels (Front and Rear - Fitted 04/14)
New Inner Tubes (Front and Rear - Fitted 04/14)
New Wheel Bearings (Front and Rear - Fitted 04/14)
New Rubber Bellow
New CDI (Ducati)
New Indicators (Front and Rear)
New Rear Lens
I have had no mechanical faults with the exception of the occasional fouled/failed spark plug since the engine was rebuilt in September 13. All other work has been to either improve (Such as HID headlight) or prevent future failures (Such as brake shoe. cable and stator replacment). I am confident that all nessicary mechanical work has been completed. No major work has been undertaken since its last MOT which was passed without difficulty. As with all 2t Scoots. particularly ones of this era. some routine maintenance is required but no more then adjusting cable play and occasionally refilling gearbox oil - anyone who has owned a vespa before will be aware of what is required.
I have only used RockOil 2T oil in this scoot as I find it does not foul the plug and gives excellent lubrication to all moving parts.
Cosmetically the scooter is not ugly but could do with some tidying up. It was my intention to have the frame/panels/hubs/wheels powder coated during the coming winter months - however my work circumstances have changed and I now need to use motorways more often meaning the scooter is no longer practical for my commute. As the pictures will show I have not cleaned the scooter recently - how I ever I will give it a good clean before she is sent to her new home. She does not live outside - she has her own bedroom (Well insulated shed) and is parked undercover when at work/shops etc.
Can deliver local to southampton so long as fuel/return journey costs are covered.
This is a relucant sale as the scooter really has done me well in the last 18 months and is an absolute pleasure to ride around town - however needs must! If I get a reasonable price I will also chuck in some extras such as:
Vespa Fly Wheel Removal Tool
RockOil
Light Weight Alli Checker Plate Floor Boards (Need a slight clean up/polish but will look dead sexy)
Collection of spare parts
10 or so editions of Scootering Magazine
Viewing is possible - mostly evenings. Test Rides may be considered however I will want a reasonable deposit and you will need to show that you are insured.
Will Consider Swap for something 500cc + that is in ridable condition
