Yamaha R6 blue 600cc motorcycle for spares or repair

This is a year 2000 bike. originally a W registration though it is currently on Manx plates. I will be bringing it to Sheffield however where it can be viewed/collected. I have owned the bike for the past 12 years and have covered most of the miles on the clock myself. It has toured in Europe done UK camping trips and has also been used for commuting. It had an engine rebuild only about 3. 00 miles ago and runs very sweetly. Though I last rode it last spring. it started fairly easily today and ticked over. It sounds fine and doesn't smoke. It has been extremely reliable. It still has the original Yamaha tool kit under the seat. I am selling it because I have another bike I use for commuting so I can't justify spending money on it. The lights. horn and indicators are all working ok.

It is cosmetically in poor condition. It blew over last winter and a footrest hanger broke. I have a replacement but have not fitted it. I also slid off it in wet weather a couple of times and there are scuffs and marks. too numerous to list. The ball end is missing from the clutch lever. The fork seals need replacing and the rear caliper needs freeing off. Really it could do with chain and sprockets and a front tyre. The carburettors need setting up properly. At the moment it seems to be running too rich. It started today without choke (the choke cable is seized anyway) despite the low temperature. Once it is hot. it is reluctant to tick over and is a swine to restart.

It is currently Manx registered but it would be a simple process to put it through an MOT and UK register it again once any work has been done to it. It was originally UK registered but has spent the past eight years in the Isle of Man. (It's not been raced. by the way)
