Description

Hi. p for sale here my 2014 Yamaha XV950 in excellent condition (as i hope the pictures show). First registration Jan 2014. Yamaha Warranty until Jan 2016. first MOT due Jan 2017. tax expired so I'm currently paying it monthly on new system (will need taxing). 1660 miles on the clock. It has the grey fuel tank from the R-spec model fitted. this was done by the yamaha dealer which i brought the bike from. Basically they had a customer that wanted an all black bike but wanted the R-spec model (R-spec is only available with grey or green fuel tank). so they simply switched the tanks on a standard model and an R-spec model over.  I double checked with them and they told me that it doesn't affect the warranty at all!I purchased the bike as an ex demo bike. it had around 600 miles on it at the time. its now on 1660 (might increase by 10-20 if we get a random warm. unny and dry day before i sell it). The bike had its first service (600 mile) when i purchased it at the beginning of June last year. Next service is due at 6000 miles. I changed the oil myself at 1400 miles as i read that the Yamaha yamalube stuff is crap. Bike is now running Fuchs/Silkolene Comp 4 XP which cost me ?35. I didn't changed the yamaha branded oil filter as all i could find was aftermarket filters and i didn't want to affect the warranty! The only other thing I've done to the bike was that I've drilled one small (10mm) hole in the baffle. Not a visible modification and has not made much of a difference. Just given it a little bit of a V twin note rather than sounding like an electric bike like they do as standard (has a little 'pop'. not loud. just sounds like a motorbike from before euro emissions came around in 2004). If you look on youtube you will find lots of people drilling tons of holes in the baffling. i only drilled 1 as i wanted it to be pretty unnoticeable incase it affected the warranty. This is the 10th bike I've owned in 12 years. and by far my favourite. Selling as my girlfriend and i have just had a little baby girl and need a reliable car or two (i don't want to see it go. i love it!)Engine is punchy. eager and a lot of fun. Suspension suits the bike perfectly. handles perfect. love the belt drive. sounds good and looks the part. Ive been seeing 55 - 65 mpg (i don't thrash it). Ive had no problems with the bike at all. still got 1 years manufactures warranty left if anything should go wrong. Both pegs have scraped the floor a couple of times. i was used to riding a fazer and took a couple of rides to learn how far i could lean. I can't see any other cosmetic imperfections. might be a couple of small stone chips to the front of the engine casing (where the radiator would be on a liquid cooled motor) but i cant really see anything. Fender extender/belly pan would definitely be a good idea to keep this area safe!!So there you go. not 100% perfect condition but damn close. Ive been treating the bike with Muc-Off Bike spray (after wash protect and shine bike treatment) and also Scottoiler FS 365 Corrosion protector/inhibitor. All keys and paperwork are present. I think thats everything!Any questions you have. please ask away and i'll do my best to get back to you as soon as possible. Cash on collection please as paypal fees would be close to ?200. Thanks for looking!!
