yamaha xt 600 tenere 3aj 1988

i took this in part ex against my xl600 lmf paris dakar. yamahas xt600 tenere 3aj model.  this bike is in very good unabused condition for the year. few small marks here and there. however it had a rattly engine so i decided to rip it to bits and repair it.  it turned out to be a major rebuild. here is a list of the parts i replaced in the engine. new cam chain. ew crank bearings. ery nice unmarked condition crank and conrod (mint small end)nice unmarked condition cam. ice clean rocker cover. ew valve stem seals. alves lapped into head. ew rebore and piston. omplete very mint condition gearbox. (5th gear was shot on the original gearbox). ecent genuine yamaha clutch plates (fibre and steels)new gaskets all round and gear seal. ew pcv oil pressure valve. ngine has been repainted. recent new rear disc and brakes serviced. carbs cleaned out etc. in total i have spent around ?550/650 on the engine alone. not including my time and effort. being honest. the head has a few small marks in 2 of the 3 cam journals but it has been running like this for 10. 00 miles by the previous owner with no probs at all.  i will however supply another nice condition head (needs paint) and another nice cam (waiting for cam in post) for spares should anything ever go wrong with the original current head to which i very much doubt it will.  (got the spare head after engine was rebuilt)the tyres are almost new. mot till august 2015. its had a little tidy up here and there. seat cover and bodywork wheels etc in above average condition. renthal handlebars.  the exhaust can back half has been replaced (rotted in places at back) with a straight through pipe which i think sounds lovely. as in pic. removeable heated grips. need the live wire connecting up to battery. good starter when hot or cold. clocks were replaced by previous owner showing 20. 00 miles. the original clocks showed 39. 00klm. (photos to verify) many receipts for current and previous work servicing etc. several mots that coincide with mileage. the clutch seems to drag a bit at standstill when first started but i think the clutch cable could do with replacing. i have also used a 10/40 oil which may be causing this.
