1982 Yamaha XT550 I believe its a German import first registered in UK in 1998. age related plate to original manufacture date 1982 on a Y plate. No history with the bike but as you can see it's a great looking piece of kit. ideal for the summer pub runs and although everyone is crazy for the earlier XT500. this model was only in production for 2 years so if anything is rarer :-)It has kmh clocks and I have added a mechanical mph converter now showing 20K kms. So as I have only done a few miles since fitting this is a low mileage bike appox 12K Miles!!This is kick start only and I find it better with a good pair of boots than flipflops when starting it. All works as it should. good starting point for a full restoration. or just get out in the mud and have some fun :-). New Michelin AC10 tyres. less than 100 miles since fitting so if intending to ride this away be warned nobbly and slippy. MOT til July 15 V5 in my name and address. Spent a fair bit since purchase on getting it back to how it should be. Exhaust has been repaired in the past. Great fun classic only having to sell due to job loss and have other bikes in the garage to use.
