YAMAHA XL760 WAVERUNNER JETSKI 1998Offered for sale is a nice clean example of a 1998 XL760 Waverunner. This ski is in very good condition for the year. but does have some beach rash as would be expected even on much newer craft. These Yams are actually increasing in value now for the following reasons: You can no longer buy 2 stroke skis . the newer 4 strokes are much heavier . complex and expensive to maintain. Late model skis have complex electronics . fuel injection . catalytic converters and all kinds of nonsense. These older skis are very simple . 2 carburettors . simple 2 stroke engine . straight through pipe. Idiot proof . easy to maintain very reliable and can be rebuilt very economically if needed . In addition they weigh half what the 1500cc modern lumps weigh. so easily towed and launched. This ski has had a top end rebuild approx 5hrs running since . we have compression tested it and it has 130PSI each cylinder . which is bang on 100% . It starts on the button and revs freely . idles smoothly etc etc. The Hull is in very good order . excellent on top . little beach rash underneath. Very clean and tidy engine bay. These skis make excellent craft for the family being very stable and 3 seats ! capable of towing ringos etc. nice and light enough to self launch and can be towed with small vehicles. The XL760 is mega reliable and is the Ski all the hire companies use !The ski comes on the trailer as pictured . complete with lighting board ready to tow away. The ski is currently winterised but will be started up and run on hose for prospective buyers. We have priced this ski according to the out of season . IE in summer its a 2 grand ski !!
