Description

You are bidding on a 2007 Yamaha FZ6. To my knowledge I am the second owner of this bike. It belonged to the owner of a local shop as his personal bike and as the story goes he traded it to a Harley at Wildcat Harley in London. KY. Needless to say they took the trade. but they didn't want a Yamaha setting on their floor so they sold it to another local dealer. Parrot Auto. which is where I found her. As a matter of fact. the picks you see are the same ones he used on his eBay listing. I've not had the time to clean and detail her because I had back surgery 11/19/14. no fault of the bike btw. and the weather hasn't exactly cooperated either. but I wanted you to see what she normally looks like. I have added a couple of shots to show how little the scratches are on the bike. such as the rock dings on the motor and the ring scratches on the grab bars. thanks to my wife. Nothing excessive or unexpected inside or out. There are no known defects or conditions. She has had a check up every spring since I've owned her and at least two oil changes every year. The guys at the shop have changed plugs. filters. oil. and checked the chain. just a basic tune up. Nothing else has ever been needed. The thing I love most about this bike is how it has the looks of a crotch rocket but you sit up on it like a trail bike. It is very comfortable. I've made several hour and a half trips and never had to stop to beg for mercy. I'm 6'1" and 240 pounds. well I was before my surgery anyway. Which leads me to another thing I enjoy. the motor. Very smooth and plenty of power. even enough for a big guy like me. You will not have any trouble being able to motor around or away from any Sunday driver on their cell phone. On the flip side of the coin. the brakes are just as awesome. I've never noticed any fade in the brakes even on those hour and a half rides with my wife and I. Also. I have to give props to the exhaust. no I'm not wild about how it sounds at idle. I'm referring to the placement. I like that they are under the seat. You can get crazy in the curves and you don't have to worry about something dragging the ground. I've always thought I left a rather large chicken stripe on my tires. but my friends that have been behind me don't agree. but of course the majority of them are on cruisers. I love the way it rides. You really feel like you are a part of the bike. But don't take my word for it. you can google search some reviews from back in the day or check these out. wikipediaridermagazinetopspeed Copy and paste those into you browser and read all about it. They have the lows and the highs. Don't just take my word for it. My best advice would be to come by and see it. You are welcome to ride it. but just remember. if you break it. you bought it. no "lol!" included in that statement. I may have to insist on some sort of ransom before you get on. Nothing on the bike has been altered. painted. or detailed to hide anything. If there is a scratch on it. it hasn't been covered with nail polish to hide it. There is nothing more upsetting than giving your new baby a bath only to find yourself wondering where the heck that scratch came from. guess what. they used nail polish to hide it and you just washed it off. Normally for winter I leave my bike in the garage in Williamsburg. but I was trying to get in as much riding as possible before my surgery and then weather just kept me from getting it down there. so it has been on my covered porch in London. covered and completely out of the weather.  The cover will come with the bike. plus I have a battery maintainer that it is wired for and I will let it go with the bike.  I should also mention. since I've owned her. the only time she ever seen rain was the day I bought her. Bought and paid for her on a beautiful sunny day. we stopped to have lunch on our way home and came out of the restaurant. and you would have thought it was night time. It rained so hard I had to give up. I admitted defeat and took her by my office and locked her down in the building until the next day. I have a clear KY title on her. She is not rebuilt or a rebuild and since she has been  under my ownership and care she has never been down nor do I believe she ever has been. All of the paint is good and appears to be original. And when I say clear. I do mean I have the title in hand and there are no leans against her. Full payment is due before you take delivery. no exceptions. My bank will put at least a 10 day hold on a check before it hits my account. so please don't do a road trip from California. lay a check in my hand. and give me the sad story about how you have to get back home ASAP. I'm sorry. it doesn't work. Or send a delivery service by to pick it up before the funds are cleared. that doesn't work either. even if it means I lost the sale. These are my conditions. please be aware before you bid. A nonrefundable deposit is required within 48 hours of the auction close. Again. please be aware of my conditions because I will stand firm. I want a good feedback and I'm sure you do as well. I want you to be happy with your purchase so please be sure of your decision. do your research. and please come by and see her before you bid.   The buyer is fully responsible for pickup and delivery. Also. I do have her for sale locally and I do reserve the right to end the bidding early. Please don't contact me with trades or ask me what my lowest price is. because that is the starting bid. KBB. com has the retail price in excellent condition at $3610. NADA has a low retail of $3145 and a high retail of $4135 which gives you an average price of $3640 and I have my starting bid more than $600 under that. Not to mention. I've seen some very poor examples on eBay and other sites compared to mine for more money and with cracked fairings and parts hanging off. so by all means. do your research and look around so that we can both feel good about this transaction. I'm sure I have forgotten or misspelled something so call me on it. send me a message or ask me questions. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!  Sorry folks. eBay wouldn't let me put the whole link on my listing. but if you will search Yamaha FZ6 on google. You will see the sites and all the information I found. Got her all cleaned up and added some more pics. I do apologize for taking so long and should have done it to begin with. Not the best detailing job I have ever done. the weather wasn't cooperating at all. but at least you can view a recent pic of her and if anyone has any questions or another angle or a specific part you would like me to send you a pic of. please let me know and I'll help the best I can.
