1986 YAMAHA YX600 Radian BLUE

An old classic that has been used as a commute over the past summer. It's finished in electric blue with a few blemishes. The tank has a patch of primer. where the paint had been removed by a fuel spillage and there are marks from previous transfers that have been removed. It is an old bike but full of character. I believe it is an import. It's a carburettor so it has a choke and is an electric start. The bike is low in height. I'm over 6ft and to be honest probably look too big for it. Possibly a flat set of handlebars could overcome this look. but the rear suspension is adjustable in travel. to give a firmer or softer ride. I had a brand new tyre put on the back. which has only done a couple of hundred miles. The front is in limit. The tax ran out at the end of October. but has been stored in my garage since September. I have only done basic maintenance to it. waxing/tightening the chain. cleaning the carb sumps. gapping the spark plugs and Oil change and it runs nicely for such an old bike. I broke a mirror parking it up too near a wall. so it has after market bar end mirrors. that are fully adjustable. The MOT is due 19th March. I have no reason to think it would fail for anything. Only selling as i haven't used it in a while and won't get a chance to. Unfortunately it is taking up space and money. so i must sell it. As it is not an aggressive 600cc it is a good bike to get confident on and build up some no claims. Cheap to run. insure and is reliable. It's only let me down when I run out of fuel as it has no gauge.
