YAMAHA SRX6 SRX600 cafe racer project, spares or repair

Hi and welcome to my auction for 1985 Yamaha SRX6.

Its 608cc kick start model. Jap version imported to UK in 1992.

I own it since end of 2010 and I'm third owner in UK.

Being Yap model it has oil cooler and air assisted forks. clocks are in KM so it done approx. 12k miles.

When I bought it its been standing for 10 years and was missing many parts which I collected over years.

Its for spares or repair as it will need bottom end rebuild. So don't read more if You want ride away.

Its MOT'ed till 25/07 2015 ( no advisories ) and I did 2k on it since last MOT.

Will start from front :)

Tyre is good . new valve. new sintered pads. fresh brake fluid. stainless lines and brembo radial master cylinder. Stations are perfect! new oil and dust seals and clips. new fork gaitors.

Clipons are custom parts as is the mirror. New clutch and speedo cable. Small crack in mudguard.

All electrics work fine but battery is dead now as its been off road for about 3 month.

Tank was cut open from bottom. blasted. welded and pressure tested. and sealed with KREEM.

It need to be painted from outside to be perfect.

Engine had fresh oil and filters before MOT. carbs has been striped and cleaned. new clutch plates fitted and valves adjusted. First kick starter! :)

Gear box works perfect and is quiet on all gears.

Exhaust system is 2in1 custom made an has stainless silencer and big bore pipes. Sounds Great!

Rear brake has stainless pipes to. nd is fitted with brembo master as well.

Shocks are from YCC and much harder then standard units.

Rear tyre is usable but has slow air leek. Sprokets are good but chain is old and probably need replacing. New valve.

Seat in good condition with only some stitching missing. and locks ok.

Some surface rust on frame and other parts. but its 30 years young. and it only adds character in my opinion.

Great project for someone who like to get dirty with old bikes (like me).

I simply cant spend a penny more on it so it has to go.

Its auction with no BIN price and no reserve.

Will accept only cash on collection. unless YOU want to cover PAYPAL fees.

Collection with van or trailer as can not be driven away.
