Description

Suzuki GS750T Project bike        This is a unique bike. it is a nearly finished project bike that was imported and registered in 1994. sadly the sole owner is no longer with us and being sold by his son-in-law. It is a US only market GS750T custom from the early 1980's (we got a similar GS750L) so you're unlikely to have seen one on the road with smaller tank. unique wheels. single disc etc. The bike has been awarded a 'Q-plate' (reg: Q954GVR) possibly as DVLA wouldn't have known the original vehicle age. it still has all it's frame numbers and USA VIN plate (VIN: JS1GR73A3C). Since then the bike has been rebuilt with a modern GSX600F engine (basically a Bandit6 engine) which with a couple of rear brackets looks like a straight forward job. although the compact. modern engine is about 4 inches shorter than the old one! With a dummy tank and car battery. the bike fired up on all 4 pots and sounded nice and smooth (the motor came from a good. up and running 18K mile bike) the carbs are open and would settle down to a tickover for a while but would need balance/airbox etc I'd imagine. The oil is fresh with no leaks and the oil pressure light (big red light next to speedo) went out as it should. which all points to a nice engine :) The bike has a new chain and sprockets. fork seals and excellent tyres. the front brake will need a service/bleeding up. It has the GSX loom (for cdi. genny etc) with home made wiring to ancilliary parts. which would benefit from a tidy up. As a labour of love. many parts are hand made. various brackets for clocks. chain guard etc. as is the seat. which is heroically uncomfortable. the headlight is missing. but I think I have one that will fit :)                                                                A handsome old bike fitted with a bomb-proof. air cooled. modern engine. it needs finishing (tidy up electrics. front brake etc) the paint. alloy and chrome still shines up well or. which would be a shame. pretty valuable as a haul of spares. The bike has the key and the V5 logbook. registered 21/10/94 with vin and 600cc engine number.

The bike is in Maidstone. Kent.
