YAMAHA DT175MX DT175 MX DT 175 MX SPARES REPAIR RESTORATION GREAT PROJECT

Here we have a genuine UK 1978 DT175MX I bought on a whim 2 years ago and have done absolutely nothing with but push it round the garage as I have already done one up that I still use from time to time. It has matching engine and frame numbers which is rare in itself and was one of the first 3100 off the production line so is probably worth restoring. (It even has original headlight grille!)As you can see everything will want stripping and servicing but the engine does kick over with compression fine. The speedo shows 4. 00 odd miles but I know this is incorrect as an old MOT certificate shows 21 odd thousand miles. The rear wheel has been painted silver so guess the chrome is not great and the tyre is flat. Obvious things missing are switchgear. cables. carb rubbers. left plastic engine cover. keys. chainguard. exhaust and probably loads more. I will keep looking to see if I can find any more bits while the auction is going and will update if I find anything but no promises. You are welcome to view but be warned photos always make bikes look better than they are and this will need work but i think it would be a worthwhile project!Auction will start at ?99 with no reserve and sorry but no buy it now as i just dont have the time to sort it out but if you want it bid!Bike will need to be collected within a couple weeks if possible.

Have just found left engine cover - dirty but looks ok and not cut like a lot are!

Carb rubbers - bit hard but may be salvageable in hot/warm water!

3 exhausts in varying states but sure you can salvage at least one!

Will keep looking for bits as i can but again no promises.
