Description

Here is everything you need to know about "IronClad. a custom street-tracker style bike. the PERFECT bike if you want something cool and custom that really turns heads - without a massive pricetag. Built from the ground-up to the the perfect Brooklyn getaround bike. IronClad began life as a NEW 2013 Yamaha TW200. The TW200 is a bulletproof "dual-sport" bike. favored by ranchers for generations because it's so easy to ride. eats up any terrain. and has so much pickup. It's beloved for the oversized. knobby tires. which handle any road surface Brooklyn can dish out. and for the comfortable seat height - perfect to give beginner riders confidence and for taking the stress and balancing out of waiting at stoplights. This TW200 received a full makeover - no more power-ranger plastics. Fully redone to show off the bare aluminum and steel she's made of. IronClad boasts custom fenders which have been clear powder-coated for longevity and a beautiful custom coated vintage tank. After recoating. the tank was sent to Golden West Sign Arts. the West Coast's premiere applied gold leaf artisans. They applied machine-turned gold leaf and black lacquer lettering on both sides of the tank. done in a font that nods specifically to the Brooklyn Navy Yard that inspired the bike and the name. The airbox has been replaced with K&N filters for that cleaner frame-through look. I've also cleaned up the front end and decluttered the handlebars. The whole thing is finished off with custom aluminum turn signals and matte-black headlight. It doesn't matter if I'm stopping at a gas station. motorcycle shop of coffee place. every biker wants to have a look at this bike. They all ask what it is. whether it's vintage or new (it's new and reliable with the best vintage looks). and whether they could get one made. Not the biggest bike. but everyone loves it. In terms of performance. the TW200 is a nice balance - and was chosen for this project specifically to be the prefect Brooklyn commuter. It's light and easy to handle at low speeds. plus is peppy and quick from 0-35 where most city driving is done. Like all TW200s. it tops out at 55 or 60mph. which is enough to be comfortable for a short hop on the freeway. It's clean. like new. and I'm the only owner. I cant say enough great things about this bike. I just need to make room for another project. or there's no way I would be selling it.
