1971 YAMAHA DT250

offering for sale my yamaha dt250. Bike has a fresh top end . 060 over bore. done by expert yamaha mechanic. Shifts good. good clutch. mechanically very sound. does not leak any oil. Original tires. good tread. maybe a few small weather cracks on rear tire. 1. 00. 00 spent on parts alone. Paint on frame is original and very nice. Bike has been repainted black with yellow accent. Paint very good looking but could use a coat of clear over the top. Would not take much to make this a top notch example. Has not had gas in the tank since overhaul. tank is clean. not lined and don't need it. I ran it with premix out of a iv bottle. Bike has a good title. overall a very nice bike. chrome is very good. bike starts easy and runs good. It will need some work on the lights and blinkers to get them operational. will need a headlight/ horn / blinker switch. Bike was nice other than top end was stuck. so it was poached for parts at a dealer. Bike had sat inside a long time. paint was faded from sitting by a window for years. I think this is an early 71 because the key switch is on the side of the frame and not up by the handlebars.
