Yamaha DT360A classic 2-stroke trailbike

Yamaha DT360A

Manufactured in 1974 and first sold in the USA.  This bike was first registered in the UK in March 2012 by me.  The bike has done 3000 miles since then and has been used to explore the gravel strewn lanes and tracks of the Peak District.  It has not been used for any serious off-road riding.  If you have seen one of these bikes at Matlock Bath. or at the Squires Cafe or CMC Clay Cross 2-stroke days. then it was probably this bike that you saw!

The V5 is in my name.  The bike has matching engine and frame numbers.

The bike starts 1st. 2nd or 3rd kick and pulls well.   All electrics work as they should.

I want to sell the bike to make space for my next project.

Lightly restored

The frame parts have been powder coated. The petrol tank and oil tank have been professionally painted and the seat professionally recovered.  The fork stanchions were re-ground and re-chromed and new shock absorbers fitted.

The engine was re-bored to +1mm and the crankshaft re-conditioned by SEP Engineering.

There is some pitting to some chrome and alloy parts and there are some rusty fasteners.  There is a petrol stain on the seat cover.

Non-standard bits and spares

The handlebars are the period aftermarket ones that it came with from the USA.

The bike is being run on pre-mix but the (unreliable) oil pump is included in the sale.

The ignition has been converted to the contact breaker type but I do have all the parts necessary to convert back to electronic ignition.  These parts. which include a Rex's Speedshop ignition box. are also part of the sale.

A spare piston and cylinder barrel are also included.

My tool roll. that can be seen bungee hooked to the rear mudguard in some of the photos. is not included in the sale.
