For sale is a 1975 yamaha DT250B. Clean NYS title. in my name. Very clean bike. I restored it about 12 years ago and the bike has basically sat since. During the restoration the following was done:New reproduction rear signals. original OEM fronts are still on it. new buddy pegs (not installed). new seat cover. new rear tail lens. new petcock. new speedo cable. new fork seals (oil and dust). new shifter seal. new steering stem bearings. new chain. new mirrors. new air filter. new OEM flasher relay. new grips. The engine was also bored out (two over (1mm)). all new top end parts. Engine was cleaned up and painted. bolts were replaced with stainless. Frame was cleaned up and repainted. The tank has been sealed. has one small dent in it and some scratches. original paint. The rear of the frame has been modified to accept an earlier DT buddy seat/rack system. The original airbox was removed (still have on a shelf) and replaced with a cone filter. Tires are in good shape. After the restoration. the engine was broken-in and given a 25 mile ride. Bike ran like a 30 year old. 250 2 stroke enduro should. Since the restoration. the bike has sat in a dry basement. I don't have time to ride it and I don't have the lifestyle where I can "collect" bikes like this so it is finally time for someone else to get enjoyment out of it. Whatever parts I have for the bike that are not on it will go with it. The only bad that I know of are the following:Battery is deadThe area around the shifter on the case was JB welded by the PO. Once warm. you will get a couple of drips from that area but no major leaks. The oil system is hooked up but I've been running premix in it. As far as I know it should run no problems. If you want to run no-mix fuel in it then I'd suggest looking that subsystem over before hand. This is not a museum quality restoration but it is extremely nice. There are small rust pits in the chrome and on the upper part of the forks. From 5 feet away you can't see it but right up close you can. The paint is in really nice shape with just a couple of spots on the engine where it has flaked off. This bike is a nice survivor that anyone would be proud of being seen with. (if you see white spots in the pics. it was snowing when they were taken)Bike is located in an eastern suburb of Rochester. NY. Would prefer local pickup only but could possibly meet in a neighboring town for an extra fee that would have to be paid ahead of time. I do not want to ship the bike. If you are located on the other coast and want to ship it. the most I'll do is take the bike to whatever shipping company is local that you pick out for a fee. I will not strap it to a skid. take it apart etc. When in doubt. send me a message with your question. DT 250 DT250 DT250B 125 175 360 400
