1972 Yamaha CT2 amazingly clean and rust free, very lo miles, affordable project

Nice condition vintage Yamaha dual sport. Would make a great restoration project as it is very clean and amazingly corrosion free with no pitting anywhere. Would be easy to turn into a very sharp rider quality bike if left original cosmetically and gone through mechanically. Turns over on the kicker. and sounds great. but I have not attempted to start it since I obtained it last spring. Comes with a cool buddy pad and what appears to be a Yamaha rear rack. Skid plate at front of motor is undamaged. Issues noted in my limited inspection of the bike: dent on right side of tank - see photos. Some minor 'spider webbing' on instrument faces. very common on these older Yamahas. but again. is very minor. and note how bright redline mark still is on tach. which isn't usually the case. Tank has rust inside. but is otherwise solid. Handlebars seem a little tweaked. High/Low beam switch is missing. No took kit. but will come with a very nice condition owner's manual. which I will mail to the high bidder along with title once payment clears. Reasonable opening bid. reserve is less than a thousand dollars. Deposit by paypal. remaining balance by cashier's check within 10 days. Buyer must pick up but I will be happy to work with whatever shipper you choose. OR. if you prefer to pick up yourself. I WILL STORE THE BIKE INTO THE WARMER MONTHS -- so long as payment is made within 10 days of end of auction --so no one has to travel on snow or ice covered roads. and to help spread your costs a little. as I understand this is a project bike and not a high dollar unit.
