Description

Yamaha introduced SDR200 in 1987 that was not from needs of market but wants by motorcycle designers. (GK design)Proud to own and fun to ride. Only made for 2 years. Weigh: 105Kg=231lbIt has 34 HP that is better power/weigh ratio than RZ250 and enough for the size of the SDR. Length: 1945mm=76. 5inchWidth: 680mm=27inchVery skinny. looks like 50cc sports motorcycle but can ride freeway. Same tire size of Aprillia RS50. You can beat NSR250R or TZR250 or RGV250 Gamma at down hill. I only confirm one other SDR in the United States. Extremely rare. Fewer than RZV500R or TZR250R or RG500Gamma or NS400R. Was sitting in my garage in Japan. so I just brought it here into southern California. Put new battery and clean the carb. breed front brake and it runs!Rear brake still needs to be maintain. You can get mastercylinder kit or caliper piston & seal kit from Yamaha USA or on eBay. Parts# for rear brake caliper piston is 51L-W0057-00-00 same as FZ600 1986-1988 FZR400 1988-1990. SECA2 1992. for rear brake mastercylinder OH kit is 31A-W0042-50-00 same parts for XT600 1990-1995. None refundable Paypal deposit of $250 at the end of the auction. Balance by cashiers check or wire. If you prefer Paypal. add 2% (I'll pay 1%)Had Japanese title but cannot find it. so bill of sale only. No warranty. as-is. Ask questions before bidding. Take a close look on pictures. Quiet motor that you can hear & see athttp://youtu. be/gjuBTG1iFDgAll electric workhttp://youtu. be/70spwSumbHsFuel tank has some surface rust inside and outside. No leak. so you can use rust remover. I don't know how to remove the rust outside of the tank without damaging paint. o I don't touch it. Other than new battery & tires. they are all stock. YPVS works fine when you turn on the key. Not only Yamaha but also most vacuum type fuel cock corrode because of sitting. SDR owners club recommends to replace the petcock to TDM850's. (needs small modification like hose diameter is different)I can help to get parts from Japan. You can put tach gauge using SRX4 or 6's. Really fun to ride and don't want to see it goes but needs $$.
