YAMAHA XVS 650 DRAGSTAR CUSTOM BLUE/SILVER

Hi. and welcome to the VERY reluctant sale of my superb. and much loved pride and joy. shaft drive. ultra low maintenance. Yamaha XVS 650 Dragstar Custom. in blue and silver. This bike is in great condition. with a host of extras. Paintwork is excellent. as is the chrome (apart from some flaking on the left hand engine casing). I ordered a new engine casing from Florida USA. but they sent me one off an XVS 1100! needless to say. it doesn't fit. The bike is a 1999 model on a T reg plate. and has only covered 21k miles. sounds great. and has had regular oil changes every 500 miles. Drive shaft oil also recently changed.  This bike turns heads everywhere it goes. and lots of people. young and old. comment on how fantastic it looks. people have even taken photos of the bike while i've been sitting at traffic lights! It certainly gets you noticed. I often get asked if it is a Harley. Over the past few months. i have added over ?800 worth of extras. including :  chrome Kuryakn rear frame cover inserts. chrome Kuryakn brake pedal cover. chrome Kuryakn gear lever cover. chrome skull drive shaft cover. brand new Maxxis whitewall tyres. Baron custom Starbar handlebars (lower and wider. imported from USA). Thunder cycles chrome front frame cover (imported from Germany. not yet fitted. but i will include it in the sale). Highway Hawk chrome engine bars. Highway Hawk chrome headlamp visor. chrome rear brake drum cover. ceramic carbon front pads. new rear shoes. K and N air and oil filters. Pyramid Fenda Extenda. clear indicators. The original handlebars. a good condition Bridgestone front tyre. and original brake drum cover are also available. Mot'd until July 2015. never had an advisory. Selling this bike kills me. as i genuinely love it. I am gutted about it. but for family reasons. she unfortunately has to go. whoever wins the auction. will be getting a great bike. she looks absolutely awesome with the whitewalls fitted. This bike will be very sorely missed. and i just hope that she goes to a good home. where she will be appreciated.  Low seat height. cheap insurance. ideal for everyone. fantastic summer cruising bike. i think the tank has a range of around 160 miles. The only blip is that. since the new brake shoes were fitted. when you press the brake pedal. sometimes the brakes squeal. nbsp;this could be part of the bedding in process. i don't know. as i have never had a bike with rear brake shoes. If i get the time. i will look into this. but with family. and work commitments. that may not be possible. therefore. when sold. the bike may still have the squealy rear brakes. I am only mentioning it as. trivial as it may seem. i like to be honest in my descriptions. thank you. I have uploaded a couple of pics. i will upload more when i can get outside to take some. as the weather is terrible just now. Cash on collection. UK bidders only.
