1997 YAMAHA YZF 1000R THUNDERACE

My thunderace for sale. This is a good little (big) runner. This bike starts and rides fantastic. Handles really well and really fast. Straight to it. the bad points this bike is showing its age. Bit tatty. fairing needs tlc a bit broken on screen surround (see picture) the wheels and exhaust could do with a lick of paint (see picture) advisories on MOT are middle suspension oil seepage (but MOT guy said not to worry) and front wheel stiff (told the floating discs need a good clean out). Good points. I know the previous owner and know the bike has never failed an MOT as he know the owner before him. Reliable. never let us down. braided brake lines all round. carbon fibre rear wheel hugger. Scott oiler (but I haven't used it so don't know if it works) MOT'd till September 2015. Tyres only done approx 500 miles. This bike is a great runner despite the tattiness. just needs someone with time and patients to restore her. I have been as honest as I can.
