Up for your consideration is a vey pristine VintageYamaha Majesty Trials bike. I bought the chassis in 2010. and spent the better part of a year and $8k sourcing the parts to complete it. This bike is one of only a handful to ever make it State side. I bought the frame from Craig Malham and had it shipped over. Craig is the guy that revived the Majesty line in the mid nineties. he went and bought the remaining stock left over from the Majesty race team. This was the last original 250 Godden frame he had in his possession. So a few emails stretched out over a couple years and I finally got it. During the build I found that there is very limited information to be found on these bikes. So what I am fixing to write is from many sources I found via the inter web. and many good people that was kind enough to share the info they had. If anyone has more to share or if I stand corrected. please chime in and I will add it to the listing. So Yamaha started producing the TY in the early 70's. Not sure when Mick Andrews joined there team. but he and John Shirt started developing the Majesty soon after. There were 3 different versions. The first being a Modifed TY frame. the second being the Godden Frame. and the final being the Whitlock frame. They were all very competitive and Mick done well with them. Then along came the mono shock versions and the Majesty faded away. This bike has around 10 hrs on it since the build. I took it to Diamond Dons in 2011 and ran the beginner line turning in a DNF from the results of a flat. Since then it's set inside my house in my man cave on display. Got the bike out today. cleaned the carb. put a fresh plug in it and fired it up. the bike is mechanically sound in excellent condition. bike details:Godden frame finished in White powder coatMajesty aluminum tank finished in white powder Hubs powder coated with gold hoops. rear has Buchanon stainless Z spokes. finished off with New IRC tiresEngine is a 1976 TY 250. with all new seals. and side cases finished in Black powder coat.
