In reply to all of the people who were interested in the bike but were worried that I had made no effort to get her running. I put a splash of fuel in and fitted a used battery. the bike now runs. she starts straight away. all 4 downpipes are getting hot. no smoking or odd noises. The battery came from a different bike. it's not correct for the Fazer. it will need replacing. Now that she's running. I have removed the 'Best Offer' option from the advert. but have also lowered the asking price. I can't accept any less than the new asking price. first £865. 00 secures the bike. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Yamaha FZS600 Fazer. 2003. Loads of service history. recent tyres. stainless downpipes. low miles. HPI clear. but needs attention. so please read all of the description. This is a UK bike. I have the V5c registration document showing date of registration as being 2nd June 2003 and only 2 previous keepers. The bike comes with a HPI certificate showing that it has never been written off. it's not stolen. no finance. in fact. there is no adverse history recorded at all. Bad bits:The previous owner changed jobs and needed a car. so the bike was parked up in his front garden. that was in the middle of 2012. it has been sat there for over 2 years. In that time the battery has gone totally flat. the dust covers above the fork seals have perished and the chrome fork stanchions have pitted very badly. A couple of weeks ago someone tried to steal her. she was locked securely. so they didn't get away with the bike. but they did try to take the disc lock off. in doing that they have damaged the right front disc. please check the last picture. When they realised that they couldn't move the bike they dropped it on its right side. the front brake lever is snapped. there is a small dent in the tank. small mark on the front edge of the silencer and the upper fairing is badly cracked. You can see the fairing damage in the last but one picture. Due to being stood for fully 2 years. there is no tax and no MOT. The paint on the engine is faded and pickled in places. the paint on the frame is rusty in places. That isn't intended to be a full list of faults. it's just a brief summary. you need to view the bike and give her a proper check yourself to be sure that you are happy with the condition before agreeing to buy. Not so bad bits. I have the log book. all numbers match. Only 2 previous keepers from new. I have a HPI certificate dated today showing no adverse history whatsoever. Stainless downpipes fitted. I have the receipt for these. they cost £235. 99. All old MOTs are present to confirm the milesage. st MOT May 2006 9821 miles2nd MOT May 2007 11022 miles3rd MOT May 2008 12257 miles4th MOT May 2009 13276 miles5th MOT May 2010 14427 milesand the last MOT is dated August 2011 at 15200 miles. A pair of new Dunlop Qualifier D209 tyres were fitted in May 2010. so looking at the MOT mileage. it looks like they have done about 800 miles. I have the original PDI check sheet and receipts for the following services:500 mile service from Fowlers of Bristol in 20036000 mile service from Fowlers dated late 2003Then in Dec 2005 a service was done by a local independant shop at 9700 milesNext was a service and MOT in 2009. by the same local bike shop. Then the most recent service. again by the same local independant shop. April 2010 at 14200 miles. When I collected the bike she was filthy. I have given her a quick wash. but have done nothing else to try to repair her or make her look better. The inside of the tank looks clean. I have the key. the same key operates all of the locks. the ignition switch is a bit fiddly to operate sometimes. maybe that's due to being stood or maybe it was damaged during the attempted theft. On offer nice and cheap. but on the basis that she needs attention. so strictly no warranty and no return. Please feel free to ask any questions. you are most welcome to come and view. but she can not be ridden away. you will need a van or trailer. The bike is in central Bristol. I can deliver anywhere in the Bristol / Bath / Gloucester / Swindon area for just the cost of the diesel. Thanks for looking.
