Chopper hardtail custom

Yamaha xs 650 based hardtail custom rat 1979 says red on log book good condition (paint is recent)though roughly painted . Frame was shotblasted locally and rustcured. rimered twice and top coated twice. Its thick. nd satin black. Has runs. its not concours. ut its functional. Loads of stainless (i dont like rust) Stainless mud guards. ngine plates nuts and bolts mostly. nd full stainless steel fishtail exhaust that cost 750 quid stainless sissy bar that could be cut off but it`d be a waste. harley headlight tombstone backlight off my mates old triumph chopper. altese cross tank badges. Leather seats. Top end refreshed by john Hutchens of Tollgate classics (enfield bullet) at Cheadle new camchin tensioner. amchain . ings. valve guide oil seals and valves reground Heiden tuning oil filter conversions has honda superdream paper filter behind that finned extension cover. Unfortunately i ve lost all the reciepts for parts from Heiden but could get John Hutchens to confirm the top end job if you wish. I ve got the old bits replaced in the motor as some evidence of the work done. The finned cover also goes some way to prove things. I`ve got more pictures of that exhaust system if i can upload them. If you dont like rats. his could be made pretty at minimal expense by stripping it and re stoving the frame repainting the tank and polishing everything only the back light is scabby and they`re relatively cheap. This thing is not for the faint hearted. If you know anything about xs 650 s they vibrate LIKE HELL so be aware it s noisy and uncomfortable. oo. ut it is what it is. Its a chopper and looks fab. There`s also no ground clearance. There are. few rust spots on the forward footpegs. Electronic ignition No mot it ran out in June. The indicators don t work but its only a broken wire somewhere. think. The indicators could be removed quickly they`re wired in separately to the rest of the wiring harness they dont really suit it anyway. Battery is on way out. tyres are recent. But it starts and runs well. Selling cos i`ve bought another bike. Now advertised elsewhere. Viewing recommended .
