Description

2009 Yamaha XT250 dual purpose bike. 11. 41 miles. actual miles. Clean KY title in hand with no liens on it- can be signed over free and clear. Great commuter bike- EPA rated 80 MPG (I get about 60 MPG with it. riding it for fun. not riding it for fuel economy)Insurance is dirt cheap for most riders. Top speed is about 70 MPH. It's happiest at 60 MPH top speed. Great offroad trail bike. Way. way. way better on backcountry trails than my KLR650. This is a fun bike that looks great and is in very good condition and has been properly maintained. First owner was a lady. 2nd owner was an Army MP. I'm 3rd owner. Never wrecked to my knowledge or based on my research. Was the "fun 2nd bike" for each of the past owners. Google some reviews on these bikes and you'll see they're one of the top dual purpose bikes. built with Yamaha quality. Great handling design. There have been folks who have ridden these bikes cross-country. Street or trail. it will handle it. It's not the fastest bike on the street or trails. but it's likely one of the funnest. and it does both well. New front and rear tires- knobbies for 50/50 road/trail use. Removable windshield to make for more pleasant commutes and keep the wind and bugs out of your face. New rear rack to carry your stuff- strap it down and ride away. New tail pack to carry more stuff. Used Moose saddle bags (small size) to carry even more stuff. Aftermarket FMF Powercore 4 exhaust to get a few more HP out of the durable 250 engine for more fun. Not a loud exhaust. not a quiet exhaust. just right. and legal. New grips. Acerbis handguards. New never used 16T front sprocket if you want to switch out with current 15T front sprocket for a bit lower RPMs/higher fuel economy at highway speeds. Switch out is 10 minute job. I rode the bike on logging trails nearly as much as on the street. so I never switched it out. Great bike for new riders and for "older. more experienced riders" (I've been riding motorcycles for 37 years and this is one of the funnest bikes I've owned in quite a while). Great for smaller riders as well- lightweight with fairly low seat height. A forgiving motorcycle that is the most widely used new rider training bike in motorcycle safety training classes. Why am I selling this motorcycle? I have more motorcycles and cars and ATVs right now than I have garage space. Very smooth shifting bike with a very smooth powerband and throttle control. I'm firm on the price and am not looking for any trades of any type. I'm looking to free up my garage space. not make it more full. Cash or local bank certified/cashier's check only.
